Penny edited the 1817 original version of Jane Austen's Persuasion! One of Penny's BIG favorites is the book Persuasion. It's a Jane Austen classic and her favorite book of all time. She decided to edit the original in hopes that the subtle rewording of regency language would make it more approachable for those of you who have been put off by the "hithers" and "tithers" ;-)
This story between Anne and Wentworth made such an impact on Penny as a nineteen year old. She explains a bit about that in the foreword included in this new edit.
